ACHIEVEMENTS
KPSP ranked 10th among the Top-25 Fastest Growing Companies in Kazakhstan, according to Forbes Kazakhstan Over the past year, the composition of the 25 fastest growing companies has changed by more than half. The GDP growth rate decreased from 4.1% in 2014 to 1.2% in 2015. The first half of 2016 continued the downward trend - according to the World Bank, released in the summer report on Kazakhstan, for five months, from January to May, the country's GDP declined by 0.2% (compared to the same period last year). The almost two-fold devaluation of the national currency hit private companies focused on domestic demand or exports to the EAEU countries, whose currencies experienced the same weakening, especially hard. The contribution of the private sector to the GDP of Kazakhstan, according to the WB, has decreased by 2 times compared to 2013, and we do not take into the rating companies with state participation. And yet, other fast-growing companies took the place of the retired leaders, which at one time chose niches that were not subject to the crisis of low commodity prices. True, when compared with last year's top 25, the averages have weakened. If in the 2015 rating, which assessed the performance of companies for 2011-2014, the average revenue for 2014 was 46 billion tenge, then in the current rating, which evaluates companies based on the results of 2012-2015, the average revenue in 2015 was 28 billion tenge. It is worth noting that the successor companies show revenue growth rates for the last three years on average 134%, while the previous composition - only 86%. There are grounds for optimism - apparently, the Kazakh economy has already adapted to a long-term cycle of low oil prices Companies for the ranking were selected according to the following criteria: • must be registered, operate and be located in Kazakhstan; • operate for at least four years (analyzed period - 2012-2015); • share of participation of foreign owners - no more than 50%; • the minimum level of annual income/sales/revenue for the base year 2012 must be at least 45 million tenge; • income/revenue growth in 2015 in relation to the base should be at least 50%; • in the company's income structure, the concentration per one client or group of companies should not exceed 50%.
